Experiencing the Delights of Portugal

Located on the western side of the Iberian Peninsula, Portugal is an immensely popular holiday destination that attracts tens of thousands of British holidaymakers each and every year. Many travel to the impressive and historic capital, Lisbon, but by far the most visited area would have to be The Algarve.

The Algarve is situated in the far south of the country and this is where Portugal has a stretch of coast on the Mediterranean Sea. There are a number of excellent resorts in the region, together with perfect beaches and plenty of attractions to keep you fully entertained.

Accommodation wise, there really is a huge choice. Whether you would prefer a self catering Algarve Property or an all-inclusive and luxury hotel resort - it is all here for you.

The self catering properties are becoming increasingly popular. These will often come in the form of a villa and may come with immense sea views and perhaps even your own private pool. By staying in the region in this type of accommodation, you get the opportunity to see Portugal up close and personally and this enables you to immerse yourself into the local culture and traditions.

Being on the Mediterranean Sea, you can expect a climate that is synonymous with this part of Europe: in other words, warm and sunny for much of the year. Add all of these features together and it becomes very easy to work out exactly why Portugal has been pulling at our heart strings for so long now.
